In reply to Stefan. Hi Stefan. It’s actually against the law to drive a vehicle on the beach. Omans beaches are also large nesting areas for sea turtles so should be protected. Looking to drive on sand, head out to Wahiba Sands desert. Lots of sand to get your drive on. :)

Hi Akriti – You are very welcome! Thanks for checking us out. Entry requirements will depend on which country you are coming from. If you are from a GCC region then you can apply for an e-visa online. I would check with the https://evisa.rop.gov.om/ for next steps. In terms of stops between Hatta and Muscat – we didn’t get the opportunity to travel that route so I can’t say for certain. I have heard Sohar is a nice stop! Let me know how your trip goes!

Hi Raxit – Muscat is a great base to explore the highlights of Oman. In the city be sure to check out the old town and visit the fish & vegetable market as well as walk along the corniche to check out the souqs. For nature – I suggest you check out the Muscat Sur Coastal Road (https://www.domonthego.com/incredible-stops-omans-muscat-sur-coastal-road/) and also take 4WD to the Hajar Mountains. I have not been to Oman…yet. I find that this post really reminds me of the UAE as well as Doha. These are some of the same things I found I needed to keep in mind when in those places. My good friend went to Oman and another colleague actually used to work at a school there. Both completely rave about how amazing it is.
